Patio Clean Loose Maidstone — Resin Repointing & New Stone Area

This one started simply enough — a patio clean over in Loose, with the old mortar pointing to be raked out and replaced with fresh resin pointing. But as we got into it, it became clear there was a bit more going on beneath the surface.

The paving had been laid over 25 years ago and, in truth, hadn't been built correctly in the first place. The old pointing was about the only thing holding it together, so putting it right properly meant lifting and removing large sections and starting again, rather than just patching over the problem. It's always better to find these things and fix them properly than to tidy up the top and leave the real issue underneath.

The customer was so pleased with how we were getting on that they also asked us to take up a tired grass area and lay decorative stone in its place, finishing off the whole space.

A bigger job than first planned, but a great result — and a really happy customer at the end of it.
